Organization Name: Regional District of Nanaimo
Location: Nanaimo
The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) Electoral Area F (Area F) Official Community Plan (OCP) Update is resuming, and Area F residents are invited to join the conversation in Round 2 of community engagement. The OCP sets out the community’s vision for the future and includes objectives and policies to help achieve that vision. Area F residents can help shape the future of their community by attending the virtual town halls and contributing to the community workbooks which contain proposed policy options and community values. Residents can also ask questions, watch videos and more on the project webpage.
The virtual town halls will be used to share information and gather input. The Kick-Off Town Hall will be a review of work completed to date followed by six town halls organized by OCP theme areas (growth, character and resilience) to focus the conversations. Each theme area will have two town halls. The Final Town Hall will wrap-up Round 2 of engagement and discuss next steps in the project. Area F residents are welcome to attend as many town halls as they are interested in.
