Richmond Hill is a city with 195,022 residents in the Greater Toronto Area. That makes it York Region’s third most populous municipality and the 28th most populous municipality in Canada. Richmond Hill is an affluent community with more than 52% of resident families reporting incomes of greater than $70,000 and over 31% of households reporting incomes greater than $100,000. The city is governed by the Richmond Hill City Council, which operates on a Mayor-Council system with six Ward Councillors and two Regional Councillors, plus the Mayor.
