by Ontario Municipal Leadership Institute
March, 2018

NOTE: This event has been cancelled.

The Ontario Municipal Leadership Institute (OMLI) in collaboration with several municipal leaders and industry experts will host an inspirational day of learning and networking for citizens from across the province who are considering a run for office in the upcoming 2018 municipal elections. The “Candidates for Council” training workshop is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in taking on the important role of community leadership by seeking political office.

“We have a jammed-packed agenda which includes a compelling line-up of speakers, who will share their passion, knowledge and expertise, and have incorporated beneficial topics of interest for attendees that will provide; relevant election strategies, tools and tips along with running a successful campaign,” said OMLI’s Executive Director, Angela Gravelle.

“For many, even just the thought of putting your name forward can be somewhat daunting. It’s a huge decision that requires serious consideration, a thorough understanding of the role and responsibilities, and most importantly a strong network of support from family and friends”, said Gravelle. “Our workshop is meant to educate, empower, and share pre-election insight,” Gravelle said.
