The City of Vaughan partnered with IRIS to modernize their road patrol operations. By leveraging computer vision and AI, IRIS implemented the tools to automate road pavement and roadway asset inspection, data collection, reporting and work order generation. The modernized operation empowered Vaughan to clean up redundancies, responsively maintain its road infrastructure, create more efficient workflows, improve service levels, meet compliance targets, and improve road safety. The technology increased the number of deficiencies detected such as pavement cracks and obstructed traffic signs, standardized their defect labeling, automated work orders, centralized reporting, and reduced user error.
