Manager, Transportation Design
Summary of Duties:
Reporting to the Division Manager, Transportation Planning and Design, the Manager, Transportation Design provides project and program management expertise in engineering, design, asset management and construction of transportation infrastructure and projects with responsibility for planning, coordinating, and controlling related engineering operations, and managing a team of engineers and technical staff. Additionally, the Manager, Transportation Design contributes to the development and monitoring of capital budgets and management of capital programs for the Division, providing recommendations and advice to the Division Manager, Transportation Planning and Design and Director, Transportation and Mobility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Completion of the Project Management Professional program is an asset.
- Registered Professional Engineer, Province of Ontario.
- Eight to ten (8-10) years of increasingly responsible experience in Civil Engineering construction and capital project management, including a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in large-scale transportation projects and progressively responsible supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and related professional and lived community experience.
- Must possess a valid Class ‘G’ Driver’s licence and have available use of a vehicle.
Compensation & Other Information:
$112,978 – $148,226
This posting is for 1 permanent, full-time position.
Current hours of Work: Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid. Subject to change in accordance with business requirements.
