Position Overview:

  • The Information Technology (IT) Manager reports to the Director of Corporate Services, and is responsible for the conceptualization, planning, purchase, management and renewal of the Corporation’s information technology assets, services, and data. The IT Manager is directly responsible for all corporate network infrastructure located within and between corporate facilities. The IT Manager must also maintain an inventory of front-line equipment; provide guidance on equipment renewal and replacement; ensure compatibility and integration with other network resources; and provide research, advice, and guidance to other divisions’ purchases of specialized services.
  • Hours of work: 35 hours per week
  • Compensation: $ 81,936.40 to $ 95,841.20 per annum (to commensurate with experience) with a comprehensive benefit package.

The Town of Kirkland Lake is located approximately 2.5 hours North of North Bay and has a population of approximately 7,800 people. Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree or advanced college diploma in networking, information/data management;
  • Progressive experience in similar jobs or self-employed activities, ideally with progressively increased levels of responsibility;
  • Excellent knowledge of network development strategies such as conception, planning, development, and delivery;
  • Must have the ability to organize, lead, direct and participate in routine operations and special projects;
  • Solid project management and operational skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills, inter-personal skills, and attention to detail;
  • Ability to understand assignment needs and requirements, anticipate and solve problems with tact and diplomacy;
  • Self-motivated with excellent sense of initiative and the ability to work under pressure with little or no direct supervision;
  • Exceptional communications skills both written and verbal for staff reports, projects, and presentations.
  • Must provide a clear Criminal Record Check.
