GIS & Asset Management Coordinator

Job Scope:
Reporting to the Manager of Capital Infrastructure, the GIS & Asset Management Coordinator develops and administers the Municipality’s GIS infrastructure and assists with the development and ongoing maintenance of the Corporate Asset Management Program.
DUTIES:
- Designs and implements GIS databases and systems
- Maintains GIS and Asset Management software/hardware
- Supports planning projects with mapping and spatial data
- Provides technical support and responds to public and staff inquiries
- Coordinates data collection, asset evaluations, and condition assessments
- Develops and maintains web applications for data collection
- Ensures data integrity within enterprise asset management systems
- Supports compliance with asset management regulations (e.g. O. Reg. 588/17)
- Assists with infrastructure planning, budgeting, and lifecycle evaluations
- Participates in public workshops and training sessions
- Performs duties independently while adhering to safety practices
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma in GIS, Engineering, Geography, Business, Geomatics, or related field; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum 2 years of GIS experience, preferably in a municipal planning environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, relational databases, and GIS tools (e.g. ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, PSD CityWide)
- Familiarity with remote sensing data (e.g. orthophotography, LiDAR)
- Ability to interpret legal surveys, registered plans, and engineering drawings
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented with a process-driven mindset
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid Class “G” driver’s license and clean driving record
- Clear Criminal Records Check required
HOURS OF WORK:
- 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE INCLUDES:
- Pay rate: CUPE Grade 14 ($32.13 – $39.20/hour)
