If you are a visionary leader, we invite you to join the Township of Minden Hills as our Director of Finance/Treasurer, where you’ll spearhead all financial and treasury operations in our picturesque community. As the financial steward of our municipality, you’ll lead budgeting, reporting, investment management, and more, contributing to our forward-thinking culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Oversee finance and treasury functions, including budgeting, accounting, reporting, and investment management, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage operational and capital budgets, business plans, and procurement processes, while exploring funding opportunities and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Administrative Leadership: Lead the Finance and Treasury Department, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies, and representing the department in meetings and negotiations.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, council members, and external partners to support collaborative initiatives and financial transparency.
  • Team Management: Provide leadership to department members, fostering a positive culture of accountability, motivation, and performance excellence.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a candidate with expertise in financial management, legislation, and leadership, with a keen eye for strategic planning and forecasting. Your qualifications should include a post-secondary degree in accounting or a related field, along with professional designation and significant experience in finance and management roles.
