The Associate Vice President (AVP), Development Strategies plays a critical leadership role within the Development and Asset Strategies team, ensuring the planning, design, and delivery of social and affordable housing developments throughout British Columbia. Reporting to the Vice President, Development and Asset Strategies, the AVP will lead the execution of strategic housing initiatives across the province, guiding program development, procurement strategies, land acquisition negotiations, and project delivery. The AVP oversees partnerships with non-profit societies, First Nations, and municipal, provincial, and federal governments to drive affordable housing outcomes.

The Associate Vice President, Development Strategies will be an accomplished real estate and development executive with extensive experience leading large-scale housing projects in complex, high-accountability environments. They will have a proven record of managing multi-site residential developments and guiding high-performing teams to deliver on ambitious capital targets.

The successful candidate will have held senior leadership roles in housing-focused organizations, ideally with experience in both non-profit and private sector development. They will understand the nuances of affordable and social housing programs, public funding models, and regulatory frameworks, and be comfortable operating within government-supported initiatives. This is a senior leadership role requiring operational oversight, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive outcomes while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a strong relationship-builder, able to work effectively with internal teams, government, municipalities, non-profits, and industry partners. They will bring an adaptive mindset and a commitment to improving delivery processes, cost efficiency, and long-term impact. This is a high-profile role with the opportunity to directly influence housing affordability and supply across the province.

The targeted salary range for this position is $186,942 – $219,932 annually, supplemented by a competitive total rewards package.
