Chris Wilkinson

New General Manager / Secretary – Treasurer

After  40 plus years of dedicated service to the Catfish Creek Conservation Authority, Mr. Kim Smale, General Manager / Secretary – Treasurer,  will be retiring and handing over the reins to Christopher Wilkinson, an environmental professional with more than 15 years of experience in conservation and watershed resource management with Conservation Authorities.

Mr. Wilkinson will bring a wealth of knowledge to the role, stemming from a B. A. (Honours) Degree in Environmental Science & Geography from Trent University, a Geographic Information Systems Diploma from Sir Sandford Fleming College, and a Master of Law from the University of Law in Manchester, UK. His career has included the management and overall coordination of the Water Resource Information Program at Conservation Ontario. In his most recent role with the Trent Conservation Coalition, Chris coordinated the implementation of the Trent and Ganaraska Source Protection Plans across 37 municipalities, and worked to improve the policies to ensure successful implementation in the communities served by 53 municipal drinking water supplies.

Everyone at the CCCA will miss Kim dearly and we wish him all the best in his retirement.
