Wellington County has a thriving agricultural sector and offers a plethora of local food options. Some might say it is the local food destination in southwestern Ontario. That did not happen by chance.
Some of it is environmental. Much of the county is covered by Class 1 and Class 2 soils, which are highly productive – it is considered to have some of the most fertile land in the province.
