Since Part 1 (published in May 2021), things have moved quickly regarding New Brunswick’s local governance reform. A green paper published in April 2021 has introduced opportunities to address local governance issues that have created challenges to service delivery and a sense of inequality for leaders in the municipalities and the local service districts. The green paper has the objective to foster discussions within the population, stakeholder groups, associations, etc.
