In the past two years, the number of Canadians who trust government dropped from 58 percent to 51 percent. These Edelman Trust Barometer Global Survey findings were released in January 2014. They should be sobering for anyone who works in the government sector, especially when compared to increasing trust levels in Canadian businesses for the same period, which incurred a four point trust increase to 62 percent.
