There is a gap between youth exiting our educational institutions and entering the workforce. Research conducted by the Brookfield Institute demonstrates that while education providers feel confident they are preparing youth for the workforce, the youth themselves do not share this confidence – and with good reason.1 In the same Brookfield Institute survey, employers indicated feeling that today’s youth are not prepared to join their workforce.
