Transgender and queer hate is rapidly on the rise. Most transgender individuals have experienced some form of transphobia in their lives. “Experiences of Transphobia among Trans Ontarians,” a 2013 study by Marcellin R. Longman, A. Scheim, G. Bauer, and N. Redman, put that number at an alarming 98 per cent.
