Bill Rayburn, CEO, and Adam Bennett, director of paramedic service, at Middlesex-London Paramedic Service, join us to discuss the importance of recognizing local government innovation and their Peter J. Marshall Innovation Award-winning CARE First Deployment Initiatives. The CARE First model is transforming 9-1-1 response by introducing a tiered system that dispatches appropriate aid based on the call’s urgency – rather than automatically sending a full ambulance every time.

Jason Keillor – Transdev’s handbook to support rural transit

Keillor, vice president of transit operations at Voyago Transdev, joins us to discuss the organization’s Rural Transit handbook. Created in conjunction with Dillon Consulting Limited, the handbook – available both online and in print – provides rural municipalities with a tool for launching transit services. The guidebook includes guidance on securing funding, designing systems, and answering questions for those looking to offer a “full spectrum” of transit services.
