Manager, Transportation Systems Planning

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Planning/Chief Planner, the Manager of Transportation System Planning will assume professional planning and/or engineering responsibilities for a broad spectrum of transportation planning initiatives, including, but not limited to: regional, sub-area, and site specific transportation studies and/or related environmental assessments, transit system planning, active transportation planning, traffic modeling program leadership, safety enhancement programs, travel demand management and multi-modal transportation initiatives.
Position Requirements
- University Degree in Civil Engineering, Planning or a related discipline
- Master’s Degree in Transportation Planning, Engineering, or comparible education, is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) is considered an asset.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or certified as a Registered Professional Planner.
- Nine (9) years of previous experience in progressively responsible related positions, including at least 3 years supervisory experience; municipal experience is an asset
- Demonstrated skills relatingto critical judgement and analytical thinking for managing complex projects
- Class G Driver’s Licence in good standing and reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
Compensation
$121,139 – $147,365 per annum
