Lisa Pastro tries to stay out of the spotlight in her community of Westbank First Nation (WFN). But avoiding that spotlight became more difficult after Pastro was named the 2025 recipient of Municipal World’s Women of Influence in Local Government Award.
Pastro, director of operations with WFN, received this year’s recognition alongside a pair of honourable mentions: Christa Lowry, mayor of Mississippi Mills, Ont.; and Randy Goulden, town councillor in Yorkton, Sask.
