General Manager, Social Services Division
The Corporation of the County of Lambton (“County of Lambton”) is an upper-tier municipality located in southwest Ontario, nestled along the shores of beautiful Lake Huron and the St. Clair River. It is home to over 128,000 residents who reside in one (1) of eleven (11) municipalities that, together, constitute the County of Lambton.
The General Manager, Social Services, is the executive manager responsible for the strategic direction and administration of the County of Lambton’s Social Services Division. Working directly with four (4) talented department managers and many community stakeholders, the General Manager leads the following County of Lambton programs and services that, together, employ approximately one hundred and fifty-two (152) committed employees:
- Employment and Income Support (Ontario Works);
- Housing;
- Child Care, Children’s Services and Early Years, and
- Homelessness and Poverty Reduction.
Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, the ideal candidate will have at least ten (10) years of senior management experience in social services, or a related field, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a demonstrated record of providing effective, efficient, quality public services.
