As I write this, Canada and the rest of the world is in the grip of a global pandemic. Currently, most municipal resources and time are occupied with emergency operations and public health responses to the COVID-19 outbreak. Our essential services are working overtime, doing the important work that will protect and treat our families, friends, and colleagues. I truly hope that by the time you read this column, the crisis is nearing its end
