Vaughan Fire & Rescue Service (VFRS) was selected as a top three finalist, and in the winner’s circle (bronze), for the 2019 National Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) Innovative Management Award for the “Igniting Insight: Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Analytics in the Fire Service” project. The award ceremony took place August 20, 2019 in Winnipeg (video below).
