The Town of Georgina has announced that David Reddon has been appointed to lead the Town as its next Chief Administrative Officer. Mr. Reddon has more than 38 years of municipal experience working in various business areas of the Town.
“Having David Reddon as our new CAO just made sense for Council,” said Mayor Margaret Quirk. “Growing up in the community he is so passionate about, combined with his extensive municipal knowledge and genuine respect for our taxpayers, both our community and staff are fortunate to have David at the helm.”
During Mr. Reddon’s municipal career with the Town of Georgina, he has served in several progressive capacities including:
- Manager of Taxation, Revenue and Customer Service responsible for general revenue management, water/sewer billings, property tax billing/collection and the corporate customer service HUB.
- Director of Corporate Services/Deputy CAO responsible for strategic leadership, management and administration of a broad corporate operations including Finance, Municipal Law Enforcement, Revenue, Taxation and Customer Service, Clerk’s Office, Information Technology and Procurement Services.
In his roles at the Town, Mr. Reddon has been responsible for leading all staff through large-scale programs and projects. Most recently, he has been the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer and the Acting Chief Administrative Officer for the Town.
“I look forward to collaborating with Council, staff and the community to deliver nothing less than effective, responsible and transparent mandates and priorities,” said CAO David Reddon. “We will continue our focus of providing exceptional customer service by engaging our community and staff which is key to successful service delivery excellence for the residents of Georgina.”
Mr. Reddon will be replacing Winanne Grant who retired in January.
