Council is pleased to announce that the Municipality of Middlesex Centre has appointed a new Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Don MacLeod. The appointment of Mr. MacLeod to the positon of Chief Administrative Officer will take effect on June 3, 2019.
Mr. MacLeod joins the Municipality of Middlesex Centre from the Corporation of the Township of Zorra where he has served as the Chief Administrative Officer since June of 1996. Previously, Mr. MacLeod spent four (4) years as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Corporation of the Township of Bayham.
The selection process was led by an ad hoc committee comprised of Mayor Aina DeViet, Deputy Mayor John Brennan and Councillor Debbie Heffernan. With over eighty (80) applications, the committee narrowed the applicants down to three (3) candidates, who best met the criteria as outlined by Council and Staff to be interviewed by Council. Council concluded that Mr. MacLeod is the best qualified to have an immediate impact on the Municipality.
Council also wishes to extend its sincere thanks to Tiffany Farrell and the Senior Management team for taking on the additional responsibilities in addition to their day-today roles. We appreciate Ms. Farrell and the Senior Management teams’ commitment to Council and our residents through this transition.
