Are Canada's traffic signals ready for Y2K

New Year’s Day, January 1, 2000, could spell a big hangover for some of Canada’s smaller jurisdictions if their traffic signal systems are not Y2K compliant. These municipalities and other agencies are being advised to contact the manufacturers and/or suppliers of their equipment as soon as possible. The Y2K traffic signal issue is currently being addressed by industry, a recent survey has found.
