The new Ontario regime for handling appeals related to certain Planning Act applications and municipal land use decisions came into effect on April 3, 2018 with the proclamation of the Building Better Communities and Conserving Watersheds Act, 20171 [Bill 139]. Schedules to this Act include the new Local Planning Appeal Tribunal Act, 20172 and the Local Planning Appeal Support Centre Act, 2017.3
