“The Municipal Finance Authority of British Columbia (MFABC) would like to extend a warm welcome to Matthew O’Rae, joining us as our new Director of Finance on October 1, 2018. Matthew comes to us most recently from the Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA). His team at VIHA was responsible for providing centralized capital management and treasury services. Previously Matthew worked for the Province of British Columbia where he held various director roles including Executive Director of the Debt Management Branch where his team delivered centralized borrowing and liability management services. Prior to joining the public service he worked with two ‘Big Four’ accounting firms and held senior finance positions with a Canadian railway. Matthew holds a MBA-Finance, a B.Comm. and is a CPA, CA.”
