Why local government matters

Through excellent service delivery and professional management, municipalities have the power to direct the future of their communities, and positively impact the lives of all of those who call it home. Check out this great video from Sydney Martin, former Intern with the Municipality of Hastings Highlands, who was presented with the 2018 Bursary Award from the Ontario Municipal Administrators’ Association. The award is presented each year to raise awareness for the significance of municipal careers, promote the profession of municipal CAO, and provide financial assistance to students interested in a career in local government.
