Located in Fort Smith and reporting to the Regional Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and assistance to community governments as they assume full responsibility for the planning, development, implementation and management of community public infrastructure in their community. In addition, you will provide professional engineering/technical services to the department and community governments to ensure the efficient and effective planning, design, construction and operation of community public infrastructure. You will also be responsible for supervising and managing the work of the Community Works Advisor.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities would typically be acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with three years professional engineering experience in program delivery and infrastructure planning for water and sanitation earthworks, transportation systems and building construction, including regulatory activities. Equivalent combinations of education and/or experience will be considered.
The salary starts at $42.87 per hour, (approximately $83,598 per annum) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $5,965.00.
