Director, Financial Planning

Bringing a rigorous and disciplined approach to financial planning activities, both short and long-term, you will develop a long-term financial plan and tactics to support the City’s strategy and coordinate the annual budgeting processes including measuring key performance indicators and supporting business planning efforts. You will also provide financial advisory services to Corporate Management, City Council, and operating divisions as well as coach a team of well-qualified, professional staff. You have an accounting designation and ideally an MBA and municipal experience. Your expertise leading financial analysis and planning professionals is supported by exposure to an environment that values and uses sophisticated planning tools for developing and implementing strategic and operational plans.

Director, Accounting

Maintaining a highly functioning team of professionals, you will lead cross-functional teams for special projects related to the strategic initiatives of the City and the implementation of process improvements to maximize the benefits of SAP. Additionally, you will improve accounting policies, practices, controls, and standards and oversee day-to-day accounting functions. You have an accounting designation and record of accomplishment in accounting, financial reporting, and related fields. Particular knowledge of enterprise systems is important as is the ability to provide modern and effective people leadership. Municipal experience is an asset but not necessary.
