Voting Day

Voting day for the 2010 regular municipal elections is Monday, October 25, 2010. A complete listing of pertinent dates will be included in the Calendar Chapter of the Municipal World Inc. publication, Municipal Election Law, 2010. Election Supplies

Municipal World is in the processing of reviewing (and revising where necessary) the forms and publications for use during the 2010 Ontario municipal elections. Forms will be available to aid in the municipal election process including the development of French-Language forms.

Municipal Elections Act, 2001

On December 15 Bill 212, the Good Government Act, 2009, S.O. 2009, c. 33, received Royal Assent. It includes various amendment to the Municipal Elections Act, 1996

January 1, 2010 has been named by proclamation as the day on which the amendments made by 2009, c. 33, Sched. 21, ss. 8 (1)-(44), (46)-(69) come into force.
