Jennifer Keesmaat – Jennifer is a founding partner of Office for Urbanism, a Toronto-based planning and design firm specializing in the integration of planning, design, and consensus-building processes. She has a combined honours B.A. degree from The University of Western Ontario, and a Masters in Environmental Studies, Urban Planning, from York University in Toronto, where she studied the political processes that shape our urban environments. Jennifer is a Registered Professional Planner, an award-winning member of the Canadian Institute of Planners, and a member of the Congress for New Urbanism.
As a project lead, she has prepared downtown master plans for the City of Regina, Regional Municipality of Halifax, City of Lethbridge, City of Moncton, and City of Belleville. She is currently engaged by the City of Mississauga and the City of Winnipeg, where she is playing a key role in policy development related to the creation of their new official plans. AuthentiCity is currently working with the Office for Urbanism on a cultural plan for Saskatoon.
