Dr. Greg Baeker is a regular contributor to Municipal World. He is Senior Consultant with AuthentiCity, the urban policy practice of Navigator Ltd. Greg is a nationally recognized leader in creative city building and municipal cultural planning. His work includes cultural plans and strategies for major urban centres and small rural communities.

Greg is co-author with Glen Murray of the Creative City Planning Framework, written for the City Toronto. His Cultural Strategic Plan for Prince Edward County in Ontario was awarded best strategic economic plan from the Economic Development Council of Ontario in 2006. He has completed work in Saint John, New Brunswick and Saskatoon. In Ontario his work includes plans for Chatham-Kent, Orillia, Oxford County, Sarnia-Lambton. He is currently at work on cultural plans for Oakville, Mississauga and the Region of Niagara.

Greg has served in senior leadership positions in the cultural sector in Canada as Executive Director of the Ontario Museum Association, Executive Coordinator of the Ontario Heritage Policy Review for the Government of Ontario – the first cross-government policy in Canada, and Professor of Arts Management at the University of Toronto. As a consultant he has completed more than 70 projects for clients in Canada and internationally.
